Here are some instructions for those who aren't accustomed with the Swedish wedding customs:
Good to know
- Don't assume that the couple knows you're coming to their wedding. You must RSVP / OSA before June 1.
- If you arrive at the church during the procession, you should wait until the bride has gone down the aisle before entering. Also, don't peek through the doors to watch because you'll be in her photos.
- If you arrive during a recession, make sure to bring cash in order to stabilize the Swedish economy.
- If you are late for the ceremony, you should walk down an outside aisle and find a seat quickly and quietly.
- As we only live on 45 m2 (tiny tiny apartment) and as Johan is already working on diminishing all of Lindas stuff. The one thing we would love to receive as a wedding gift is a contribution to our honeymoon. We would love for you to make our vacation one to remember :)
- Guests pay for their own transportation and lodgings.
- The reception is 40 min walk from the church. If you don’t want to walk we have people ready to order cabs for you (our groom’s men). Unfortunately you need to pay the taxi yourselves, but it should only cost around 150 sek, or 20 USD for 4 people.
- We will have drink-tickets for all our guest that are valid in the bar after dinner (will be more than two). If you´re still thirsty but have used up all your tickets, the drinks will cost 40 sek per drink. You can also talk to us as we´ll have an extra stash of tickets concealed in Johans pants (wink wink)

Ladies, colors to watch out for:
White: Only the bride will be wearing an all white dress, as a symbol for her innocence (hehe) and therefore no-one else can wear it as not to outshine her in all her glory J This includes all white-ish colors, from egg-ish to pink-ish. Christina (bridesmaid) has been tasked with eliminating all to whit-ish dressed people as per the brides request. (It´s OK to wear white dress with patterns)
Red : wearing this color means you have slept with the groom (what !?!?) So to not affront the bride it is much appreciated if you refrain from this color.
Black : If you wear clothes that are mostly this color you make a statement saying that you are grieving. Either you wanted the bride for yourself (I know you all do) or the groom (grrr back off he´s mine! ).
Men:
Its as simple as can be:
- Black, dark grey or dark blue suit.
- Shirt (Preferably white, it's up to you)
- Tie or Bow tie
